Chris Classic is not your average renaissance man!

Not only is he an American Music Award-winning recording artist with tracks that can be heard on movie soundtracks like “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” “Just Wright,” “Horrible Bosses,” and more, but he is an entrepreneur, social media influencer, and founder of the lifestyle brand Savoir Faire.

“I feel like authenticity kind of allows you to be timeless and that’s what I aim for,” said Classic in an interview with Will Lucas on the latest episode of Black Tech Green Money.

Classic always understands his assignment simply by showing up as his authentic self.

“For me, authenticity doesn’t go out of style,” continued Classic who gained popularity just from sharing different parts of his day as he was on a mission to dispel myths about Black fathers.

He is known for sharing intimate moments of his life including what it’s like to be an amazing co-parent and husband which he notes has encouraged others to do the same.

“I started noticing that people were resonating with my daily life,” shared Classic. “I also noticed that when I was sharing the things that I like, [that] people were also buying those things and this was well before there was an influencer or lane for people to specifically do that as a career.”

He also shares how entrepreneurs often struggle with being likable.

“As entrepreneurs, we struggle with wanting to be liked by everyone and I struggled with that for a long time,” he said. “Until I realized that there are a lot of people that like me just how I am and like the different products that I’m creating — that’s who I cater to.”

For him, being authentic is not just a trend, it’s a way of life and in turn, Classic is always able to trust that there’s an audience out there for everyone.

“There are so many people in this world, there’s always a crowd for someone,” said Classic.
