The Home Depot Just Awarded Grants Ranging From $20K to $75K To 30 HBCUs

The winners are in! According to PR Newswire , in this 12th installation of its Retool Your School program, The Home Depot doubled its commitment to $1 million. This year, 30 campus improvement projects will be funded at various Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This is the most projects to be completed in one year through the program. The Home Depot Doubles Commitment to HBCUs, Pledges $1M to Supporting Campus Improvements

The Home Depot is continuing its mission to empower HBCUs with the tools and resources they need. Since its inception in 2009, the Retool Your School School program has been the home improvement retailer’s way to emphasize the vital role that HBCUs play in America. This year The Home Depot is doubling its commitment by providing $20,000 to $75,000 grants to 30 various projects. “Since 2009, The Home Depot has continued to increase its investment in campus improvements for HBCUs,” said Derek Bottoms, chief diversity, equity & inclusion officer for The Home Depot in a press statement. “In addition to other HBCU initiatives supported by The Home Depot over the years, we are doubling our Retool Your School commitment to $1 million for 2021.
