The first African American executive producer of “The View” is switching gears in the daytime talk show world. Candi Carter, who’s spent the last five years serving as the executive producer of “The View,” will be taking over for Talia Parkinson-Jones as “The Tamron Hall Show’s” new showrunner. This new change for the ABC daytime talk show comes ahead of “The Tamron Hall Show’s” second season. Candi Carter is a television producer veteran that’s been serving in the industry for over 20 years, beginning her career in Atlanta at CNN, according to EBONY. She later moved on to produce for WISN-TV, the ABC affiliate in Milwaukee, where she earned her first Emmy Award. She then joined “The Oprah Winfrey Show” as a senior producer for 15 years.
