After a two-year runway hiatus, Kerby Jean-Raymond’s Pyer Moss will be making its grand return to New York Fashion Week (NYFW) in September. According to a press release, Pyer Moss Collection 4 will debut on the second weekend of September, just before this year’s American-themed Met Gala. The upcoming show marks the brand’s first major runway appearance since its 2019’s Collection 3 — the third and final installment of the “American” series — which called attention to the erasure of Black narratives in popular culture. Jean-Raymond debuted that final installment in the Kings Theatre in his hometown Flatbush, Brooklyn to a 3,000-person crowd full of industry heads, celebrities, and fans.
