JR Smith is still achieving milestones off the court. As AfroTech previously reported, the former National Basketball Association (NBA) player embarked on his first semester at North Carolina A&T State University during the spring of 2021. Smith was not only in his academic bag but he returned to his sports bag, too, becoming a walk-on for the Historically Black College and University’s golf team.
