Sustainable Food Waste Management Company Goodr Snags Lease For A Nearly 10,000-Square-Foot Warehouse As It Gears Up For Expansion

Jasmine Crowe-Houston is scaling her efforts to combat food insecurity. As AFROTECH™ previously reported, she is the founder of the Atlanta, GA-based startup Goodr, which leverages technology to reduce food waste and distribute it to those in need. “[Goodr] uses technology to solve hunger — that’s our big focus. Kenyan Startup Twiga Foods Raises $50M Series C Round To Expand Food And Retail Distribution Across Africa

Since Twiga Foods’ launch in 2014, the startup has been using technology to build more efficient supply chains in food and retail distribution in Kenya. With the announcement of their latest funding, the company aims to take their mission across the African continent. Twiga Foods raised $50 million on Nov. 1 in a Series C round, TechCrunch reports. The round was led by private equity firm Creadev and majority of the participants from their previous Series B round invested in Twiga.
