Snoop Dogg has purchased a minority stake in Bivouac, a team a part of Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league.

According to a press release, Snoop Dogg joined venture capitalist and co-founder of PayPal Ken Howery to buy 25 Fire-Tier editions of Bivouac. While Snoop Dogg can officially celebrate becoming a team owner, he hinted at it in a video clip posted in late April by Ice Cube on Twitter.

Get In Where You Fit In

“Yeah I am going to get me a couple teams…cause I ain’t gon buy one imma get a couple of teams because I’m with the moves,” Snoop Dogg said. “Yall better hurry up and get in where you can fit in because there may be nothing left.”

The Perks

Snoop Dogg and Howery can now enjoy the added perks which accompany becoming a BIG3 team owner.

As AfroTech previously reported, purchasing 25 Fire valued at $25,000 each will permit the buyer to become a team owner and acquire additional perks including a percentage of future team sales, access to team practices and parties, VIP tickets to games, and championship merchandise and memorabilia.

โ€œThe BIG3 is on the leading edge of enabling blockchain technology as utility,โ€ said Howery, according to a press release. โ€œThe leagueโ€™s embrace of NFTs as ownership rights is both visionary and practical; key features of every smart investment.โ€
