Escaping The Child Star Stigma

As one of the few actors who’s managed to seemingly escape the negative effects of achieving fame at such an early age, the former Disney star knows a thing or two about navigating the business.

In fact, her first gig on-screen came prior to her second birthday, and today, she’s still taking on the television industry with ease.

Her hit sitcom “That’s So Raven” ruled the airwaves during the early 2000s and now, her spin-off, “Raven’s Home,” is introducing her to a whole new generation (Symoné is still very much winning if you ask us).

Where It All Started

According to Reuters, at the tender age of three, the 36-year-old joined “The Cosby Show” cast and the rest was history for her career as an actress and for her pockets.

In a previous Instagram Live, Symoné admitted that she has never touched the money she’s made from working on the iconic series, and she is still generating money from the show to this day.

The Shocking Revelation

“So, is it true that you haven’t touched your ‘Cosby’ money?” Internet personality and social media influencer Jerome Trammel asked Symoné during the 2020 interview.

“I haven’t touched my ‘Cosby’ money,” she replied.

'The Cosby Show' Success

The Atlanta-born, New York-raised actress played the precious Olivia Kendall in the series. Its last episode aired roughly three decades ago.

According to The Grio, between 1990 and 1992, Symoné starred in 66 episodes as a serious regular. Not only did she see her original earnings, but the superstar was also able to cash in on residuals for all the networks that picked up “The Cosby Show” in the years to follow.

How Much Is Raven-Symoné Worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Raven Symoné is worth an estimated $40 million, which could very well include her royalties from the hit NBC show along with the massive success she had with “That’s So Raven.”

The show faired in 2003 and was arguably one of the best original series in Disney Channel history.
