Imagine going from being bullied at school to using it as fuel to create your own business, and then to top it off, pitching to arguably one of the toughest investors panels. It’s the story behind young entrepreneur Tania Speaks and her beauty brand, Tania Speaks Organic Skincare.

The 19-year-old landed the opportunity to be on ABC’s “Shark Tank” and walked away with a deal with Mark Cuban, according to Meaww.

Close Call Deal

Speaks landed her deal with the billionaire entrepreneur with only a few moments to spare. The tough cookie requested a $400,000 investment deal along with a negotiated 15 percent stake and her wish was granted.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Like, it was amazing. They even said I would sit there one day and be a Shark. That’s the highest compliment I’ve ever had,” Speaks excitedly shared.

Inspiring Business Acumen

While Cuban initially passed on investing into Speaks’ brand, it’s her inspiring backstory and dedication that flipped his decision.

“Honestly, I thought somebody was gonna make an offer,” he admitted. “I said, ‘This isn’t my wheelhouse,’ but my wheelhouse is helping guide amazing entrepreneurs like yourself and helping them deal with the legal land mines that come along.”

Following his offer, he was visibly choked up while adding two contingencies for the young CEO to meet his daughters and learn from her, which he expressed is “more important than the money involved.”

Speaks’ successful skincare company is a testimony of turning trials into triumph. Since 2020, she said the skincare brand has made a whopping $2.4 million in sales and she’s netted $700,000.

The businesswoman’s journey impressed all of the Sharks, especially Kevin O’Leary.

“It’s hard to make Mr. Wonderful humbled, but I really am. Seeing such a young entrepreneur who’s had massive success and is already gearing up to take off higher,” he shared via Twitter.
