This new deal might be the epitome of when one person eats, the whole team eats!
On Friday (Sept. 2), Chipotle announced that it has officially signed Ohio State University running back TreVeyon Henderson to a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal.

Chipotle x Ohio State Buckeyes
“With one of our Restaurant Support Centers in Columbus’s Arena District and more than 200 locations in Ohio, we have a lot of Buckeye pride at Chipotle,” said Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer in an official news release shared with AfroTech.
“We’re honored to fuel this high-powered Ohio State offense with real food throughout the highly anticipated 2022 season,” he added.
Real Food For Real Athletes
The move is a part of Chipotle’s Real Food for Real Athletes initiative.
For the restaurant, it’s all about helping athletes across all levels perform their best by equipping them with proper nutrition, thanks to the restaurant’s real food and ingredients.
For the offensive line that has signed to the deal, fresh, nutritional meals play a huge role in how they show up on the field. Aside from Henderson, other teammates whose NIL will be used in the new Chipotle campaign include Donovan Jackson, Paris Johnson, Dawand Jones, Matt Jones, and Luke Wypler.
Inspiring Others Along the Way
“You don’t see the grind, but you’ll see the results,” wrote Henderson in an Instagram post accompanied by an inspiring ad with Chipotle about his journey from Hopewell, VA, to Columbus, OH.
