Lil Baby — Dominique Jones — has become known for his imprint, 4PF (4 Pockets Full), but now he’s embarking on new territory in the music industry.
The rapper has launched a new record label, Glass Window Entertainment, according to Variety. In partnership with Capitol Music Group and Motown Records, the debut official signee on the roster is Rylo Rodriguez, who was previously signed to 4PF.
“I’m overly excited for Rylo and for his fans and the world to really get to see him on a larger platform!” Lil Baby said in a statement, according to the outlet. “It’s been a long time coming with Rylo and even longer to go! We got work to do and money to get!”
He continued, “Thank you to Motown/Capitol Music Group and Universal Music Group for trusting my process and I’m looking forward to a wonderful partnership!”
The outlet details that the terms for Rodriguez’s deal weren’t disclosed, but it’s said to have been a multi-million dollar deal.
“We are excited to welcome Dominique, Rylo and the Glass Window Entertainment team to Capitol Music Group/Motown Records,” said Capitol Chair and CEO Michelle Jubelirer. “Glass Window and Virgin Records have done a phenomenal job introducing Rylo. We’re thrilled to support this remarkable artist and upcoming Glass Window releases.”
As of late, Lil Baby has had his plate full with his business ventures.
As previously reported by AfroTech, he teamed up with Chad Dillon to open The Seafood Menu Restaurant & Lounge in Atlanta, GA. The restaurant has been self-described as “where guests can savor delectable seafood dishes while immersing themselves in an ambiance that pays homage to the rich history of hip-hop music in Atlanta and beyond.”
The Seafood Menu Restaurant & Lounge features seven custom sauces ranging from traditional to “unexpected twists.” What’s more, it aims to be a more affordable seafood dining experience.
