One thing is for certain, and two things are for sure, sports fans will spend almost any amount of money to get their hands on an authentic trading card. Back by popular demand is a rare LeBron James Triple Logoman card that just sold at an auction for a whopping $2.4 million.

According to Bleacher Report, the card features the actual NBA logo patch from three of his jerseys with all three of the franchises that he’s played for throughout the course of his career. Therefore, it includes patches from his uniform of where it all started with the Cleveland Cavaliers, as well as those from the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers.

One-Of-A-Kind

As previously reported by AfroTech, items like these play a huge factor in James’ billionaire status, which he hit earlier this month.

According to the official listing by Goldin Auctions, the 2020-21 Panini Flawless Triple Logoman patch card is the highest sale price card to be pulled and sold within the same year. The card also pulled off a historic moment with the largest independent U.S. live stream shopping app, Whatnot, last month.

“The LeBron James Triple Logoman card is the undisputed holy grail of modern cards,” said Ken Goldin, Goldin Auctions founder and executive chairman, according to the outlet.

Eyes On The Prize

It is one of five Triple Logoman cards created in the batch and James’ card was the only one to feature a single player. All other cards include the following NBA stars: LaMelo Ball, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Anthony Edwards, Luka Docic, Zion Williamson, Jayson Tatum, and Tyrese Haliburton.

Each pack goes for a total of $15,000 each and comes with a secure latched box that includes 10 cards to a pack.

Rap superstar, Drake, spent more than $200,000 on 14 various boxes hoping to luck up and land the one with the James card.
