One lucky fan just got the ultimate nod of approval from Jay-Z as he continues his commitment to Black-owned businesses.
According to HipHopDX, an artist named Lauryn Michele sold paintings to the legendary rapper after he discovered her work on a TV news segment.
On Saturday (July 28), Michele was featured on NBC News showing off the artwork that she had created and taken with her to one of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World Tour” concerts at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
After the “Empire State Of Mind” rapper saw the program, he invited Michele back to night two where he purchased three of her paintings of his wife.
“POV: you were on the news and Jay-Z bought your paintings,” Michele said in a TikTok post accompanied by a video of her taping her news segment in the MetLife Stadium parking lot. The video also shows her watching the segment later and ended with her presentation of the paintings to Jay-Z the next day.

Their commitment to Black-owned businesses throughout the journey has been evident.
