Gibbs Puts Her Spin On The Air Jordan 7 SP

Gibbs, the founder of Bephie’s Beauty Supply and co-owner of the retailer, Union LA, will be putting her spin on the Air Jordan 7 SP. The shoe will be built like a hiking boot and will include a mesh inner bootie paired with an adjustable toggle, according to Highsnobiety. The shoe will be painted with a Sanddrift colorway and integrated with malt, turf orange, and peach cream colors, Sneaker News reports. You will also find the well-known Jumpman logo on the inner mesh.

“Color is everything to me. So when designing this collection, I wanted to tap into my favorite colors and also my Caribbean roots. The mesh is a theme through. From the back of the jacket to side panels of the pants and dress. I also incorporate it into the shoes,” Gibbs said, via her company’s website.

Empowering Women Through Fashion

Gibb’s collaboration with Jordan Brand will be launching as a women’s exclusive collaboration. This is fitting for Gibbs, who first launched Bephies Beauty Supply in 2020.

The company aimed to highlight women of color artists and entrepreneurs who were shifting societal standards of beauty and fashion boldly and unapologetically. In addition to placing a spotlight on other creatives, Gibbs offers her own apparel and accessories that are housed at Nordstrom and have been featured on HBO’s hit series “Insecure.”

The Drop

Be on the lookout as the Bephies Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 7 SP collaboration will hit select stores on Aug. 25.

It will also be available for purchase on Nike.com and will be marked at $210.
