This young man is already accomplishing amazing feats at the tender age of 10.

According to Insider, David Balogun has become Southern New Hampshire University’s (SNHU) youngest student after excelling past grade school with flying colors.

His Love For Learning

“I love to learn,” said David in an interview with the institution. “If a person is saying that my parents are pushing me too hard, I would type in two words if I had to respond to them, ‘meet me.’”

As previously reported by AfroTech, David made history in February 2023 when he became one of the youngest students known to graduate high school.

Now, he has done it again, making history as SNHU’s youngest student after enrolling in the college at the age of 9.

What’s more, David is currently studying computer science and IT, all on someone else’s dime, as he has received a full-tuition scholarship for both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

“We are thrilled to welcome David to the diverse SNHU community,” said Paul LeBlanc, the university’s president. “David is an amazing young man filled with so much personality. We are dedicated to ensuring that he receives an education that aligns with his remarkable abilities and empowers him to reach his full potential.”

According to his mother, Ronya Balogun, selecting the right school for their son was a challenge due to him being young and extremely intelligent.

While David’s parents want to see their son excel, they feared having him attend classes on campus with peers who would be twice his age.

“David is learning based on his capabilities,” said Ronya, according to the report. “It’s his civil right. Not based on his age or not based on what the education system tells him, and I’m grateful that SNHU took this step to take a risk on my son.”

Thanks to SNHU’s online courses, David will be able to earn his degrees from the comfort of his own home. Additionally, a spokesperson for the college believes that the young man will receive his undergraduate degree by 2025.
