If you’ve ever wanted to have a virtual brunch with Jay-Z, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is here to make your dreams come true.

In a tweet, Dorsey announced that on Monday, June 28, 2021, he would be sitting down with Jay-Z to “discuss TIDAL and music.” Dorsey also said that the duo would be joined by other “special guests,” though he wasn’t clear on who those special guests would be.

Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) isn’t known to do much talking, but he’s willing to speak with Dorsey, his longtime friend and business collaborator.

In April 2021, Jay-Z sat down with Louis Wise for England’s Sunday Times where he talked “fame, fortune and lockdown life with Beyoncé and the kids.” Now that we’re in a new season, it’ll be interesting to see what Hov will share this time around.

You can check out the tweet announcement below.

Jay-Z and Dorsey have been working together for quite a while now.

Back in May 2021, AfroTech told you that the sale of TIDAL to Square was complete. The deal cost more than $300 million and relieved the Hip-Hop billionaire of all the financial responsibilities of the app.

“It comes down to one simple idea: finding new ways for artists to support their work,” Dorsey said in a statement at the time. “New ideas are found at intersections, and we believe there’s a compelling one between music and the economy. I knew TIDAL was something special as soon as I experienced it, and it will continue to be the best home for music, musicians, and culture.”

Jay-Z and Dorsey are also working together to make Bitcoin the “Internet’s currency.” AfroTech reported that the duo invested about 500 BTC each into a fund called BTrust — a blind irrevocable trust.

The discussion will take place at 1 p.m. EST and 10 a.m. PST.
