Serena Williams has positioned herself for a lifetime of success. However, as a mother, her children’s well-being also defines true victory.
Williams and her husband, Reddit Founder Alexis Ohanian, have two daughters: Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., who is now 6 years old and was born on Sept. 1, 2017, and Adira River Ohanian, born in August 2023.
Early on, Williams and Ohanian began making moves to establish wealth for their daughters. When Olympia was 2 years old, she made history as the youngest professional sports team owner. As AFROTECH™ previously reported, she became part-owner of the women’s soccer team Angel City FC (Los Angeles, CA), along with her parents.
In June 2023, Olympia once again made history as the youngest owner of two professional sports teams. Her parents, sister, and aunt — tennis legend Venus Williams — also joined Olympia as part-owners of the Los Angeles Golf Club, the first team in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s tech-infused golf league, TGL.
“It’s official! I’m thrilled to announce my involvement with @tglgolf with the launch of @wearelagc – Los Angeles Golf Club. An important part of the spirit and purpose of LA Golf Club is making golf our own, for everybody, and I couldn’t be more excited to shape the future of this sport with my family @alexisohanian @olympiaohanian and @venuswilliams,” Williams wrote on Instagram.
With these strategic investments in their daughters’ futures, Williams and Ohanian aim to give them financial security and build a lifetime of investments.
