Snoop Dogg has sealed an international exclusive licensing deal for branded cannabis products.
According to a press release, Snoop Dogg has entered into a five-year international licensing agreement with Atlas Global Brands Inc.
The terms of their agreement will permit the cannabis company to use the rapper’s “name, likeness, logos, trademarks or other approved intellectual property to produce, package, manufacture, distribute, sell, advertise, promote and market cannabis flowers, pre-rolls, concentrates, oils and edibles, and personal vaporizers for medical purposes.”
“I chose Atlas to represent and launch my new brands for their innovation and global reach,” said Snoop Dogg in the news release. “I am excited to work with their team to select my favourite strains for my brands and fans. You know they will be amazing because they will be personally approved by me.”
The Snoop Dogg branded products will only be sold in places that have legalized the use of cannabis, and Atlas Global Brands anticipates launching in medical and recreational markets across Canada, Germany, Israel, and Australia. Additional markets will be added in the future.
“Snoop Dogg is one of the most iconic figures in cannabis culture, and it’s an honour to collaborate with him,” Bernie Yeung, CEO of Atlas Global, explained in the press release. “Consumers love Snoop, and our collective goal is to deliver premium products in all cannabis categories that will consistently exceed consumer expectations.”
Snoop Dogg recently made headlines for another partnership.
As AfroTech previously mentioned, he was named Chief Ganjaroo Officer at Roobet, a company that claims to be one of the fastest-growing crypto casinos, and its parent company Raw Entertainment.
“Together, we’re going to truly revolutionize the online entertainment experience,” Matt Duea, Roobet co-founder, said in a news release. “Our community means everything to us, and we’re committed to providing them with the most exciting and immersive online casino experience out there. With Snoop by our side, the future of digital entertainment is looking brighter than ever. Get ready.”
