Angel Reese is spreading her good fortune.

KTLA reports the Louisiana State University Tigers women’s basketball player signed a check for $12,000 to St. Frances Academy, her former high school in Baltimore, MD.

The donation will support the tuition of a basketball player.

According to Reese’s mother, the athlete was blessed with a similar donation during her time at the school.

“Today @Reese10Angel donated 12k to @SFA1828 to cover the tuition expenses of a @LadyPantherBbal this coming school year. This is the same fund that covered Angel’s tuition all 4 years as a student at SFA,” Reese’s mother wrote on Twitter.

The grand news was presented during a “Back-to-School Giveback Block Party” hosted by The Angel C. Reese Foundation. Elementary, middle, and high school students in attendance received backpacks stocked with school supplies and donated items from sponsors, per CBS.

“My very 1st back to school event in Baltimore was AMAZING! Today I was able to give back, make people smile, laugh, and even cry! Thank you everyone that came out to help & show love! Thank you @awebbreese for holding it down today! You did a great job! FIRST OF MANY MORE,” Reese expressed on Twitter.

“All the time & effort our ‘team’ put in over these few months to make this event happen was worth it. We love you & will do our best to continue to support your mission,” Reese’s mother said in response.

The standard remains high for Reese, both on and off the court, but she seems to be living up to it.

As of June 2023, per On3, her name, image, and likeness (NIL) valuation rose to $1.6 million. Plus, the athlete has more than 17 NIL deals including Coach, Amazon, JanSport, Wingstop, McDonald’s, Raising Canes, among others. Despite all her achievements, she proves that watering the roots of her community is one of the most important priorities.
