Original action sports brand Vans has just announced a new partnership with Grammy-winning artist and musician Anderson .Paak, who has been named the brand’s first Global Music Ambassador.

As a longtime fan of the brand and former employee, .Paak has always shared Vans’ passion to promote creative expression through art and music. He will now act as one of the global judges for the Vans Musicians Wanted competition — an initiative that aims to provide a platform for aspiring artists all around the world.

“I’m honored to be the newest member of the Vans Family and look forward to making history with one of the most respected global brands,” said Anderson .Paak in a statement. “I’m thankful for Vans’ partnership with .Paak House and can’t wait to broaden our reach to help even more people tap into their greatest potential.”

To kick off the new partnership, Vans and .Paak are debuting an exclusive sneaker and accessories collection that are both inspired by the artist’s Southern California roots as well as his critically-acclaimed albums, “Venice” and “Malibu.”

“We are inspired by AP’s multifaceted creative talent and are excited to continue to partner with him throughout the next year for curated music and art initiatives, product design and enabling creativity within the local community and around the world,” said Tierney Stout, global music marketing lead at Vans, in a statement. “Anderson epitomizes creative expression and we are thrilled to officially welcome him into the Vans Family.”

In addition to the new collection, the two parties are also celebrating their partnership announcement with the release of .Paak’s new single “JEWELZ” — which premiered with an animated music video of .Paak — and his son, Soul “Khlex” Rasheed — donning the new collection.

The Vans x Anderson .Paak collection can be found in Vans’ retail stores worldwide starting Nov. 13 and also online at Vans.com as well as select retail partners where Vans are sold, including Foot Locker.
