AFROTECH™ is all about fostering a community for Black techies.

At our annual AFROTECH™ Conference — the largest Black tech homecoming — Black innovators, disruptors, and leaders are provided with spaces to not only gain insight from esteemed figures in the industry but also network and collaborate with today’s industry leaders, executives and likeminded professionals.

To keep the pulse on building and empowering the Black tech community, new IRL (in real life) link-ups are underway.

AFROTECH™ has announced The MEETUP series, an in-person and virtual event series. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with local tech innovators, trailblazers, creatives, and more, across multiple major U.S. cities.

Six in-person events are set to take place in Miami, FL, Nashville, TN, New York City, NY, Houston, TX, Seattle, WA, and Cincinnati, OH.

There will be designated venues in each city for The MEETUP. However, if you can’t join us in person, you can secure your spot for our virtual gatherings. Discussions for the virtual episodes will include compensation and role integration, the power of public relations (PR), marketing expertise, and how to start a business.

The MEETUP series’ in person events includes a VIP reception along with a networking portion. For virtual events, top speakers will engage attendees in insightful workshops and fireside chats. Additionally, there will be a Q&A following discussions.

The MEETUP series is taking place from April to August 2024. What’s more, the series kicks off this month with the inaugural virtual meetup.
