will.i.am, the multi-platinum artist, producer, tech entrepreneur, and philanthropist, brings over two decades of experience leading at the intersection of music and technology. From chart-topping hits to impactful tech solutions, he will participate in a fireside chat, offering insights on building a multi-faceted career that intersects creativity and innovation.
As AFROTECH™ previously reported, will.i.am sees significant value in the upcoming conference. What particularly piques his interest are the activations planned for this year, which he believes will bring together a diverse group of changemakers from across the industry.
“Getting things off the ground and bringing people together, inspiring people to come, travel, and be a part of something and belong to something, that’s hard for anybody,” he told AFROTECH™ during Invest Fest 2024. “So to collaborate with the folks that were responsible for magnetizing, galvanizing, and curating events like AFROTECH™, it’d be great to collaborate and be of service and help take it even further.”
AFROTECH™ is one of the world’s largest annual Black tech gatherings, bringing together professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and executives for days of networking, learning, and opportunities to make life-changing connections.
AFROTECH™ Conference 2024 will include additional learning opportunities with top-tier speakers across new stages:
- Cybersecurity
- AI
- Data & Engineering
There will also be new summits such as the Founder’s Summit, Health & Environmental Equity Summit, and Creative & Design Summit, in addition to the Women’s Summit.
Not only will heavy hitters like Tobe Nwigwe and will.i.am be in attendance, this year’s list of speakers also include Houston’s very own Bun B; Alexis McGill Johnson, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America; and artist, actor, and entrepreneur TIP “TI” Harris.
