Rare Michael Jordan memorabilia will hit the market soon.

Christie’s — an art and luxury auction house — will place the Michael Jordan Upper Deck Signed 1986 Fleer No. 57 Rookie Card up for grabs during its “Six Rings – Legacy of the GOAT” sale, according to a press release. The Jordan card was originally obtained by the owner back in 2006.

Rare Find

The terms allowed the owner who secured the Fleer 20th anniversary card to send the card to Upper Deck. The owner could then receive an original signed Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card which is rare, as only 23 have been released and 14 are currently owned by private collectors.

What’s more, the Michael Jordan Rookie Card is the second-highest BGS (Beckett Grading Services) graded Upper Deck Authenticated (UDA) signed No. 57 card right now and it is accompanied by an original UDA congratulations card.

Bidding Begins

Arguably one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Michael Jordan will forever be engraved in sports history. So, it comes as no surprise that the card is estimated at $2,000,000 to 3,000,000.

Jordan held ten scoring titles, was named to the NBA’s All-Defensive Team nine times, an NBA MVP five times, and the NBA Finals MVP six times. Ultimately Jordan’s legacy was sealed after earning six champion rings with the Chicago Bulls. Jordan’s historic track record explains the record-high projections surrounding his collectibles. As AfroTech previously told you, a game-worn patch card signed by the Hall of Famer sold for $2.7 million back in October of 2021.

Bidding will begin on June 1 and will end on June 14. The rare collectible will also be featured at Christie’s Rockefeller Center galleries from June 3 to 7.
