In a co-publishing deal, Grammy Award-winning and platinum record producer Zaytoven has sold his music catalog.
Variety reports the 560-song catalog has been acquired by Ultra International Music Publishing (UIMP). This will include musical hits created between 2005 and 2022 such as Migos’ “Versace,” Travis Scott’s “3500,” Lil Wayne’s “Problems,” and 21 Savage’s “Famous.”
Under the deal, Zaytoven has also signed with UIMP to produce new music and he will be assisted in strengthening his collaborations in the following areas:
- Los Angeles
- Atlanta
- London
“Zaytoven is an extraordinary talent. He is the Father of trap music and has been the driving force of much of how we define that genre. Gucci Mane, Migos, Future – he’s been right there with these artists from the beginning in 2004 right up to the present day. I’m proud to announce that after working with him since 2007 we continue to be focused on future success,” said Patrick Moxey, founder & CEO of UIMP, according to Variety.
What’s more, the deal marks another monumental move for Zaytoven.
As AfroTech previously told you, he teamed up with music executive Big Trill to create record label ZTP in 2022.
“We are blessed to announce that ‘ZTP’ The Label is official,” wrote Zaytoven on Instagram at the time. “Me and @therealbigtrill are officially a label. We are signing artists, producers, songwriters, DJs, all brands. We are looking for a real team. A solid team. Searching for all talent in every city, every state, every town! Let’s get to work.”
