Trinity Tatum has landed her first major brand partnership since winning Love Island USA.

The Virginia Beach native has officially landed her first major brand partnership upon leaving the villa with the crown, teaming up with Verizon for a social-led campaign centered around the company’s new Verizon Dollars rewards program.

In the campaign, the campaign features Tatum in a royal-themed concept the brand calls “Queen of Cash.” The partnership is one of Tatum’s first moves since leaving the show. Tatum became a fan favorite on Love Island USA Season 8, alongside her boyfriend and fellow winner Brycee Alakai Dettloff.

Tatum took a risk before joining the show

Prior to joining the cast, the Virginia Beach native left her job at a hardware store to take a chance on reality television.

She and Dettloff went on to win Season 8, giving Tatum a following that has stayed with her since the show ended. Reality TV has long served as a launching pad for contestants’ post-show careers, and social media has sped up that process. Cast members often leave with a built-in audience that brands look to tap into.

For Verizon, Tatum was a natural fit for the campaign, with Leslie Berland, the company’s CMO and EVP, pointing to the reality star’s relationship with her fans as a driving force behind the partnership.

“Partnering with Trinity on her first big brand collab and our launch of Verizon Dollars was absolutely perfect,” said Berland in a statement.

The campaign builds on the fashion-forward persona Tatum was known for on the show, while introducing her audience to Verizon Dollars, an incentive program allowing eligible customers to earn rewards for their loyalty to the brand.

“Working with Verizon and the amazing Warren Fu to bring this ‘Queen of Cash’ moment to life was such a dream,” said Tatum. “I’ve been with Verizon forever and loved this world they created for me with Verizon Dollars.”

Tatum signed with WME after the villa

Tatum’s Verizon deal comes about a month after she signed with WME, one of Hollywood’s leading talent agencies, in late July. Per The Hollywood Reporter, WME will work with Tatum to build opportunities across fashion, television, digital content and brand partnerships, with an eye toward turning her into a long-term media presence rather than a one-off reality star.

She entered the deal with a fast-growing following. As People reported, she had about 4,000 Instagram followers when she entered the villa, a number that had grown to more than 3 million by the time she returned home.
