It’s not an April Fools’ joke! Gmail has turned 15 and, in a blog post , the team introduced a new series of features, including one that everybody has been waiting for. As more people are turning to freelance or otherwise participating in a gig economy, email scheduling has turned into a real need, and Gmail has finally decided to recognize it. Jacob Bank, Director of Product Management, G Suite, wrote, “We understand that work can often carry over to non-business hours, but it’s important to be considerate of everyone’s downtime…so we’re adding a new feature to Gmail that allows you to choose when an email should be sent.” Now, the “send” button on your Gmail will include a drop-down menu that will allow you to schedule when the email should go out. Before this update, people needed to install third-party apps to schedule emails, so this makes everyone’s life much easier.
