Beyoncé's BEYGOOD and the NAACP Award $10K Grant to Black-Owned Cannabis Company

Beyoncé’s nonprofit organization BEYGOOD and the NAACP partnered this summer to launch their ow n Black-Owned Small Business Impact Fund. Now after over 17,000 entrepreneurs have applied for the grant program, one lucky business has announced themselves as one of the recipients. In an announcement via Instagram, The Gift — a natural health and wellness company that was founded in 2018 — received a grant value of $10,000 from BEYGOOD and the NAACP’s joint venture. Fifth Third Foundation Launches $1.2M Resource Program For Black Women Entrepreneurs

Black women in business is an underfunded and underserved demographic, despite being the fastest of any population to start their own entrepreneurial ventures. To combat this fact, Fifth Third Foundation — one of the first charitable foundations founded by a financial institution — has announced a new $1.2 million program called “Innovation meets Main Street: Boosting Black Women-Owned Businesses.” It is a partnership between AEO and LISC powered by Fifth Third Bank to support Black women business-owners, a news release reports .
