NBA champion and two-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is adding yet another sport to his repertoire with a new investment in his city’s baseball team. The Milwaukee Bucks star is said to have purchased an ownership stake in the Milwaukee Brewers, according to the MLB team, making him the first new individual investor to be added to the Brewers ownership group since 2005, ESPN reports. “We are honored to have Giannis join our team of Milwaukee Brewers investors,” Brewers principal owner Mark Attanasio said in a statement. “Giannis is a great athlete, a world champion, and a true local hero with international renown.” Giannis Antetokounmpo has joined the Crew! Renee Montgomery Makes History As the First Former WNBA Player to Own a Team Franchise

The idea of WNBA players owning their own teams started as just a tweet from LeBron James back in January. That idea is now a reality thanks to former WNBA player Renee Montgomery and her new ownership group. According to ESPN, Montgomery made history last week after forming a three-member investor group — which includes Northland Investment Corp. president Suzanne Abair — that has been approved to purchase the Atlanta Dream from republican and former Sen. Kelly Loeffler. Montgomery is now the first former player to become both an owner and executive of a WNBA franchise team. She, alongside Abair, will play an active role in the leadership of the team. NBA's Victor Oladipo Set to Become One of the World’s Youngest Basketball Team Owners in New Deal

While his future with the Indiana Pacers is still to be determined, NBA star Victor Oladipo is finding much success in the investing world as he expands his business portfolio . In an interview with The Associated Press , Oladipo shared that he and his business manager Jay Henderson have joined an ownership group with former Florida basketball player, Matt Walsh, to purchase the New Zealand Breakers of the Australian National Basketball League.
