Since the spread of COVID-19, gun sales have skyrocketed. An online firearm retailer, Ammo, saw a 309 percent increase in gun sales from Feb. 23 to March 15, USA TODAY reports. While most have recently recognized the importance of gun ownership during the spread of the pandemic, defense training programs like My Sister’s Keeper had already stepped up to the plate to educate gun owners on firearm safety.
