Kevin Hart has officially inked a film deal with streaming giant Netflix. The comedian-turned-actor-turned-producer inked a first-look film production deal with the streamer under his HartBeat Productions banner, and is kicking off the new partnership with four Netflix-exclusive films which he will star in and produce, Shadow and Act reports. Hart expressed his excitement for the new deal in a statement, stating that “partnering with Netflix is an amazing opportunity for HartBeat and myself.” “I am excited to act in and produce cutting edge films with Netflix. On the heels of his appointment to Medium’s Board of Directors, Colin Kaepernick announced a first-look deal with Disney on Monday (July 6). “I am excited for this partnership with Disney across all of its platforms to elevate Black and Brown directors, creators, storytellers & producers,” he tweeted . “I look forward to sharing culturally impactful and inspiring projects” According to Variety, the partnership between Kaepernick’s Ra Vision production company and Walt Disney will “emphasize scripted and unscripted stories that deal with race, social injustice and the quest for equity.” In addition, the deal will include a docuseries by ESPN films chronicling Kaepernick’s transition from San Francisco 49ers quarterback to activist.
