Support from Black women in our community is crucial, especially in times like this, and the best way to do so is to share resources that can help uplift one another. Cassandra Cummings — founder of The Stocks & Stilettos Society — is doing her part to get Black women involved in the investment industry to increase their wealth. The wealth gap for Black women has continuously increased over the years, and according to CNBC , Black women are paid 61 cents for every $1 that their white male counterparts earn. In an effort to dispel this fact, Cummings and The Stocks & Stilettos Society will be hosting a virtual summit next month to “educate, inspire, and empower young Black girls to learn more about the endless possibilities of investing in the stock market,” Black News reports .
