Serena Williams' Daughter Becomes Youngest Owner in Pro Sports at Age 2

Following in the footsteps of her mother, 2-year-old Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., has already begun to seal her name in sports history. The daughter of tennis goat, and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian Sr., is now the youngest owner of a professional sports team.

According to a National Women’s Soccer League news release, Olympia is among the founding investors of Los Angeles’ soon-to-be professional women’s soccer team, Angel City. Other investors include Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian Sr., Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, and more.

Olympia’s new ownership role was also announced via Twitter.

As a lead founding investor, Alexis Ohanian Sr. sees his investment as a chance to advocate for women in sports and continue building his family’s legacy.

“As someone who spends hours kicking around a football with my two-year-old daughter, I want her to have a front row seat to this revolution. I’m personally investing on behalf of my family because creating more opportunities in women’s sports is important to my wife and me, and we want to be a part of making a better future for our daughter,” he said, in an NWSL news release.

According to the NWSL, the Angel City team is set to take the field in Spring 2022.
