It takes time and hustle to become a real boss, and Rick Ross leads by example with his endeavors.

In 2021, the serial entrepreneur shared with AfroTech what it takes to be a boss — one of the lessons being that in Ross’ eyes, there’s no job too “small” for him regardless of his worth.

“Ain’t nothing too big nor too small for a real boss,” Ross told AfroTech. “I’ll walk into one of my franchisees, and if the floors need to be swept, I’ll grab the broom to sweep it rather than calling somebody over from the register. Nah, I’ll do it myself. You know what I mean? That’s just the approach.”

The Boss' Unpaid Ambassadorship

Now, according to The Jasmine Brand, it’s clear that Ross is a man of his word that sticks to his own advice.

The outlet reports that the rapper was once an unpaid ambassador for CÎROCDiddy’s premium vodka brand. Although Ross was already making waves at the time in the industry, he still took on the role to work with the mogul. As a token of appreciation, Diddy later went on to reward Ross for his time spent for the company.

“I was once an upaid brand ambassador for Ciroc for a year +…taking pics, post, etc already a huge artist! Following yr Diddy gave me a 1 million dollar check just for taking The initiative and going hard as I did when no one else was!” he wrote via his Instagram story, The Jasmine Brand reports.

Ross and the sharing of his own experience followed after his explanation as to why he believes in the significance of ambassador jobs.

The Boss' Word Of Advice

The boss is also a firm believer in already coming with your A-game when seeking new positions.

“What else can I offer you virtually? – That’s a plus, you’re coming to the table with something,” he said. “That’s what you doing when you go to a job and they giving you an interview they actually want to see what are you coming the the table with?”
