Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports Group is expanding its domination in the sports world.
According to a news release, the leading sports agency has acquired REP 1 Baseball, another top agency with a roster that features star athletes such as Boston Red Sox’s Rafael Devers, Milwaukee Brewers’ Devin Williams, and Cleveland Guardians’ Andrés Giménez.
In addition, Kluch Sports Group has formed KLUTCH Baseball. The new division will be led by Chris Koras, who is the CEO of REP 1 Baseball, per the news release.
“We believe in the transformative power of sports, and this move into baseball aligns perfectly with our commitment to excellence, innovation, and best-in-class representation for the world’s most talented athletes,” Paul shared in a statement. “The game of baseball has a special place in the hearts of sports fans around the world, and we’re thrilled to extend KLUTCH’s reach into this sport and to welcome Chris, the team, and their clients to KLUTCH.”
Koras added, “Meaningful progress in baseball representation is long overdue. This move signals a shift in conventional thinking and reinforces our commitment to our clients by uniting our unparalleled contract negotiations and servicing with the expansive client-focused 360 approach and cultural significance that UTA (United Talent Agency) and KLUTCH are known for. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to elevate player expectations as they seek fulfillment during and long after their playing careers.”
Klutch Sports Group has come a long way since being founded by Paul in 2012. As shared by AFROTECH in May 2023, the founder and CEO recalled the sports agency’s trajectory as it reached its 10-year anniversary.
“I said on my IG post, the good thing is it was a great 10 years and we look forward to 10 more,” Paul said at the time. “Just getting better as a company. Me getting better as a leader. ‘Cause we don’t just represent players, we represent their families as well.”
