Yes, folks, Ray J and Brandy are brother and sister.

Approximately once a year, Twitter shows up and shows out with shock about who’s related to who in the entertainment industry. And, apparently, this time around went to the Norwood siblings.

According to Revolt TV, Ray J surprised his big sister with a tattoo featuring her name prominently scrawled across his lower arm. “This is real love,” she captioned a screenshot of the two on Facetime, on September 30. “I couldn’t have asked for a better brother. I love you @rayj #bestfriends #rayjXbrandy #rayjsis #rayjsister.”

For the rest of the day, the Norwoods were trending on Twitter with the realization.

If only there was a search engine that was easily accessible that provided this information, and more, with just a few clicks of a button.

If only, right?

Anyway, in light of these recent revelations, we decided to break down the musical family tree of the Norwood family. Believe it or not, Ray J and Brandy aren’t the only ones who are in the entertainment industry. Let’s take a look at some of their relatives who have also made their mark in the business. (You might want to bookmark this page for future reference, in case one of their other relatives starts trending.)

Snoop Dogg

Net Worth: $150 Million

The Doggfather is also a cousin of Brandy and Ray J. According to Celebrity Net Worth, his extensive career — which began in earnest in 1992, after Dr. Dre discovered him — has made him one of the wealthiest rappers in the world. He is also one of the few rappers from the 1990s hip hop scene who are still recording music today.

Sasha Banks of the WWE

Net Worth: $3 million

Through Snoop Dogg, Brandy and Ray J are also related to Mercedes Varnado, better known as WWE superstar Sasha Banks. According to Sportskeeda, her estimated net worth is $3 million. However, we can expect that to grow in the coming years, as the wrestler is now expanding her entertainment repertoire outside the ring. Most recently, Banks (using her real name) starred in the hit Disney+ series, “The Mandalorian” (the show that gave the world “Baby Yoda”).

Daz Dillinger

Net worth: $300,000

Though he may not be as well-known in the mainstream as his cousin Snoop Dogg — through whom the Norwood siblings have a familial connection — Daz Dillinger is still a hip-hop legend. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he left his mark on the West Coast scene alongside Kurupt in Tha Dogg Pound, and also did extensive work with Death Row Records when it was in its prime.

Nate Dogg

Net Worth: $500,000
Although the late, great Nate Dogg passed away in 2007, his mark on hip hop is everlasting. In addition to his distinctive sound helping to define the “West Coast” rap sound that is commonplace today, Nate Dogg was also featured on many mainstream rap hits, including 50 Cent’s “21 Questions.” He’s also related to the Norwoods through Snoop Dogg.
