Quavo Huncho is bringing the smoke to his hometown of Atlanta — literally.

The rapper, born Quavious Keyate Marshall, has partnered with Smoke World Co. to disrupt the stigma associated with the industry. This is the first significant partnership for the company, which provides consumers with the best products, customer service, and build-outs, all while encouraging safe consumption.

“Quavo is not only my brother but a leader and pinnacle in the community. We’ve been working on this partnership for a while and are glad to share it with the world,” said a spokesperson for Smoke World Co. in an official release of the news. “We’re acquiring ownership in the same communities we grew up in and educating the youth.”

A Win For The Community

The latest collaboration between Quavo and Smoke World Co. was designed with the community in mind. With the most recent opening of the new shop, the Migos rapper is on a mission to bring more jobs to the community.

“I’m happy to be in business with Smoke World Co. Not only is my smoke shop providing jobs and opportunities in the community, we’re starting programs to combat underage consumption,” Quavo exclusively told AfroTech. “We’re also planning on several community givebacks in the future Huncho loves the community. This is only the beginning. “

A Star-Studded Event

Monday’s unveiling of the new Smoke World Co. in Atlanta’s historic Edgewood neighborhood will be one to remember. During a block party, the youth were able to get a firsthand look at what entrepreneurship means for the Black community.

The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food trucks from local Black-owned businesses, a photo booth, a live band, giveaways, and more. Guests like Trina, Dennis McKinley, the owners of Status Jewelers, and many more, also made appearances.
