One of today’s legendary producers just joined the Golden State Warriors’ new affiliate company.

According to the NBA, No I.D. has been appointed as Golden State Entertainment’s Creative and Strategic Advisor.

No I.D.'s New Role

If you take a look at No I.D.’s production discography, it’s evident that he’s a master at creating heat. The Grammy Award winner and executive has worked alongside music greats such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Drake.

Now, with this new role, he will “produce music for GSE artists” and “advise and partner with the company on innovative digital strategies and the development of its long-term strategic vision.”

“I’m thrilled to collaborate with Golden State Entertainment and its Chief Business Officer, my long-time friend, David Kelly, on this exciting new venture,” he said in a statement. “We are on the cusp of something truly special and I look forward to discovering new ways to bridge the worlds of content, sports, entertainment and technology.”

Golden State Entertainment

The affiliate company of the NBA team made its initial debut last month. New music is a key component of Golden State Entertainment, but the overarching purpose is original content including unscripted and scripted films, marketing and partnership opportunities, and events curated for the Bay Area and globally.

Golden State Entertainment is led by attorney and former recording artist David Kelly, Chief Business Officer. Kelly also serves as the Warriors’ Chief Legal Officer.

“It is an honor to be a part of this new chapter in the Warriors story,” said Kelly, according to the NBA. “Audiences demand compelling content that speaks to them on a visceral level. With the launch of Golden State Entertainment, we are excited to create content that celebrates the nuances of our experiences as athletes, artists, and members of diverse communities in ways that not only entertain, but hopefully create opportunities for learning and deep engagement.”
