Commercial Appeal reports that Chef Daris Leatherwood — who has worked for the likes of Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Lil Wayne — runs Cache 42’s kitchen while Jason Spicer serves as operations manager.
Spicer shared with the outlet that although Moneybagg Yo doesn’t run Cache 42 on a daily basis, he “has been involved in every detail of the restaurant.”
Cache 42 offers two sections for its customers: the “Dining Room” and the “Living Room.”
“The Dining Room will offer an elevated dining experience. Reservations are recommended for tables, but walk-ins will be accepted for bar seating,” the outlet details.
“The Living Room is a hookah lounge that will feature clean hip hop music,” it continues. “While guests may mingle within the space, all guests must have a seat. Spicer said there will be no standing room and once every seat is taken, the lounge will be considered at capacity. To help with the flow, there is a two-hour maximum time allotment at each table. For now, the Living Room is open for walk-ins only, but soon guests will be able to make reservations for the space.”
Throughout April 2023, Cache 42 is set to be open for dinner only. However, Spicer shared that the restaurant is aiming to add brunch for Saturdays and Sundays in about a month’s time.
Prior to opening his own restaurant, Moneybagg Yo had already stepped into being a businessman.
As previously reported by AfroTech, his portfolio includes a tobacco line, a water brand, and his own Rap Snacks.
