Mike Epps will join Rev. Horace Sheffield to open a live entertainment venue for the people of Detroit.
Detroit Free Press reports the $1.5 million property will be named One Mike and the people of Detroit can look forward to a comedy club, live music, and spoken word brought to life by the talent in the area and across the country.
Technology: In addition, One Mike will “shape the future of entertainment through A/R, VR, and Metaverse programming,” according to the company website.
The establishment will be located in Downtown Detroit at 1331 Broadway St.
“Detroit has always been a great city for comedy and a second home to me,” said Epps in a statement, according to The Detroit News. “I’m excited to announce the flagship location for the One Mike brand in Downtown Detroit. We’re bringing superb dining and premier comedy experiences to 1331 Broadway.”
More on the cuisine: The restaurant, Savour 42, plans to deliver on its promise to provide “a fresh, delectable dining experience,” in partnership with 7th Floor Hospitality.
Diners should expect menu items centered on seafood, lamb, beef and chicken dishes, according to The Detroit News.
In addition, the Luxe Lounge will be a mecca for Black-owned products that will include wine and spirits. Epps will be spotlighting a gluten-free vodka from his very own Eppic Spirits line.

One Mike Will Open In 2023
The multipurpose entertainment and dining establishment is set to open next spring and renovations will begin in December.
Epps recently celebrated on Wednesday (Nov. 16) at the future site.
