Trenton Lee has already established himself as the 16-year-old who has made bomb wigs for celebs like Cardi B, Tichina Arnold, and Blac Chyna.

This success led him to create his own hair company, Luxe by Trenton, and now the teen entrepreneur plans to give back to those in need. Lee has partnered with nonprofit organization Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide custom wigs for sick children who suffer from hair loss due to medical reasons.

Lee says it is vital to help those in need within his community and for him to pay it forward.

“I had a conversation with my mother and told her that I wanted to be able to do something for my community,” Lee told Essence. “While making custom wig units for high profile celebrities is fun and exciting, my real passion lies in helping those who have cancer and lost their hair and working with them to restore their sense of dignity, pride, and self-esteem.”

He explains his “why” has a lot to do with being a victim of bullying because he was different. “I want to expand my business so that I can provide resources to help others who may be experiencing bullying because they look, act, and think differently.”

While it’s no secret that COVID-19 has hit the beauty industry hard, Lee has chosen to persevere.

“So the [pandemic] set back is not stopping any of the projects — I am still designing wigs for clients and [still] finding ways to continue to be inspired!” Lee said to Essence.

He is truly an inspiration to many by wanting to give back in a huge way at such a young age. We wish Trenton all the success as he continues to make a difference one unit at a time!
