Ja Rule seems to be giving back through education with a new venture.

On Jan. 4, the 47-year-old artist took to X, formerly Twitter, and shared the next chapter in his artistic journey.

“Just signed my new label deal potentially worth a hundred mill [million],” he claimed on the social platform.

The news comes two days after he shared a new album is on the way, which follows more than 10 years since his seventh studio album, “Pain Is Love 2,” Complex reports.

“In full Album mode… #CWWTST,” Ja Rule wrote on Jan. 2, according to Complex.

In addition, he also shared plans to give back.

“I’m also building a school in Ghana can’t wait to go and break ground… Rule love the kids,” he said in a tweet.

At the time of this writing, there are no further details surrounding Ja Rule’s plans to build the school. However, he has shown that a good education means something to him.

In 2022, AFROTECH previously reported that Ja Rule matched proceeds from the Black Is Beautiful non-fungible token (NFT) collection with a donation to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

The NFT collection was created through The Painted House, which he co-founded alongside friend and business partner Herb Rice.

“The sold-out collection raised $25,000 in sales. A portion of the collection’s proceeds will be donated to Jackson State University, Morgan State University, Hampton University, Spelman College, and Morehouse College,” we reported at the time. “In addition, Ja Rule’s ICONN Media matched the donation, which means $50,000 will be split evenly among HBCU partners.”

The collection, a partnership with The Painted House and House of First, served to showcase Black joy and the challenges of being Black in America.

“It’s important that our Black children are proud to go to HBCUs,” Ja Rule told Bloomberg at the time.
