This Florida teen is already off to a great start!

ABC News reports Florida high school student Jonathan Walker applied to 27 schools including Harvard, Stanford, and MIT. The decision to submit various application was to increase his likelihood of attending a top school. Little did he know he would not only receive a stamp of approval from each university but he would also receive up to $4 million in scholarships!

“I’m thankful to God for him putting me in such an amazing position, but also just realizing that like, all these results, it’s not just because of me,” Walker told the Panama City News Herald. “I feel like I’m a product of the community that has been put around me and who’s fostered my growth.”

Walker also shared a gem for other high school students who are prepping for college applications.

“Keep grinding no matter what,” Walker said, according to WJHG.

Walker Plans To Major In Engineering To Help Disabled Community

If you are wondering what is next for the senior, Walker has his eyes on double majoring in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering. He will use this knowledge to create a wrist device that will benefit those who are disabled and those in disadvantaged communities.

“I found a way to channel that curiosity into science and that soon blossomed into engineering. And then from there I really learned that I could use engineering to help people,” Walker told the ABC News. “And so I just became super interested in creating devices that could help disadvantaged communities and people going though difficult problems.”

The high school senior currently attends Rutherford High School in Panama City and he is involved in varsity football, the science club, and the International Baccalaureate program.

Walker has not yet made an official decision on where he will be attending but he plans on finalizing his decision in a few weeks.
