It looks like Bronny James’ NIL deals are paying off.

Outside of being LeBron James’ son, the 18-year-old has been balling on the high school court.

Ahead of transitioning into college, the younger James has been landing numerous NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals in the process.

According to On3’s NIL 100 rankings, he ranks as the nation’s top NIL earner with an estimated $7.2 million valuation. Coming behind James is Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, with an estimated $3.7 million NIL valuation, per On3.com.

While the company’s report has shared the rankings, it also noted that its index’s algorithm doesn’t track the value of NIL deals athletes have completed to date, nor does it track an athlete’s NIL valuation for their entire career.

“The On3 NIL Valuation calculates the optimized NIL opportunity for athletes relative to the overall NIL market and projects out to as long as 12 months into the future,” the description explains.

For the NIL valuations, it takes performance, influence, and exposure into consideration.

Among the top 10 on the list were University of Memphis signee Mikey Williams, University of Southern California’s Caleb Williams, University of Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, and Northwestern State University’s Hansel Emmanuel.

James’ noteworthy NIL deals include Beats by Dre, Nike, and PSD Underwear.

As previously reported by AfroTech, James became one of the newest student athletes to sign with Nike in October 2022 — closing the deal at the same age as his father did. Alongside James, Nike signed Caitlin Clark, Haley Jones, DJ Wagner, and Juju Watkins.

“For as long as I can remember, Nike’s been a part of my family,” James shared in a statement. “Getting a chance to team up with them and continue my family’s legacy both on the court and in the community is wild—it really means a lot to me.”

On March 28, the four-star prospect played in the McDonald’s All American game. USA Today reports that James was the only player selected for the game that remains uncommitted for the 2023-24 season. Additionally, he ended up scoring 15 points on 5-for-8, shooting from the 3-point range. The East took the victory home over the West at 109-106.

According to 247 Sports, James has college offers from Memphis, Ohio State University, and University of Southern California, as well as an interest in Oregon.
