Ahead of Beyoncé’s hour-long performance in Dubai — taking place at Atlantis The Royal — on Jan 21, videos have been circulating online of what looks to be her sound check.
Captured by Dubai residents, the superstar was heard practicing her hits like “Crazy in Love,” “Halo,” “Drunk in Love,” and “Naughty Girl.”

According to Cosmopolitan Middle East, Beyoncé was reportedly paid $24 million for her show in Dubai. While the social media users got a free preview of what’s to come, it’s reported that the performance is invite-only for today’s biggest celebrities.
Additionally, Atlantis The Royal is set to accommodate high-profile guests as the resort is decked out with 231 luxury apartments, 693 hotel rooms, and 102 suites, per TMZ.
While there is still no information yet on when Beyoncé will go on tour for her album “Renaissance,” the Dubai show has given fans a glimmer of hope that the time will be sooner than later.
Back in October 2022, The FADER reported that there was an auction for Renaissance tour tickets at the 2022 Wearable Art Gala, where an attendee reportedly paid around $45,000 to $50,000 for a package. The deal included “the tickets, first-class travel on United Airlines, a three-night stay in a Marriott Hotel, and a backstage tour of the Beyoncé concert guided by her mother, Tina Knowles.”
“Valued at a total of $20,000, United x WACO offers you a chance to see Beyoncé on her Renaissance tour starting in the Summer of 2023 at any of United’s national and international destinations around the world,” a screen display shared during the auction in a photo.

As previously reported by AfroTech, Beyoncé started the rollout for “Renaissance” in June 2022 after being super active on Instagram while posting photos from her British Vogue cover.
As of now, there’s no official update for when “Renaissance Act II” and “Renaissance Act III” will be released.
