Tiffany “New York” Pollard became reality TV royalty after being on VH1’s “The Flavor of Love.” Her popularity led to her own shows, “I Love New York,” “New York Goes to Hollywood,” and “New York Goes to Work.”

The reality TV star’s stardom on the network opened the door for the likes of Joseline Hernandez, “The Puerto Rican Princess,” to join the reality TV throne.

Back in 2012, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” made its debut featuring Hernandez, her boyfriend Stevie J, Mimi Faust, Lil Scrappy, and more. The TV personality was a part of the cast for six seasons. She also made appearances on additional VH1 shows including “Stevie J & Joseline: Go Hollywood,” “Love and Hip Hop: Miami,” and “K. Michelle: My Life.”

During an interview with “Drink Champs,” Hernandez spoke about her evolution into becoming a businesswoman.

After her time on VH1, she went on to create her show “Joseline’s Cabaret” for the Zeus Network in 2020. Zeus is a network that was launched by Lemuel Plummer in 2018, AfroTech previously reported.

“A lot of people that’s on Zeus don’t have the same deal that I have,” Hernandez, 36, shared while explaining to the hosts of “Drink Champs” that she owns her show.

Hernandez’s pursuit for ownership came after filling VH1’s pockets for years.

“I made VH1, Viacom billions of dollars,” she claimed during the podcast episode.

After consulting with a lawyer in her circle, Hernandez learned about the importance of intellectual property.

During the course of the interview, she became emotional thinking about how she went from once living in the projects in Puerto Rico to being her own boss. What’s more, she encouraged others to join in gaining the rights to their creations.

“A lot of people don’t know that intellectual property is important for you to get as you’re going up in the game,” Hernandez explained on “Drink Champs.” “It’s going to be hard for you to get in the beginning but you can actually get your intellectual property if you stay on top of your sh-t.”

The show “Joseline’s Cabaret” has run for three seasons, and its fourth season is underway.
