Jacksonville Jaguars player Christian Kirk is running straight to the bank.

Contract

According to ESPN, the wide receiver is signed to a four-year, $72 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Under the agreement, $37 million is guaranteed to be paid to the wide receiver, but that’s not all.

Kirk could cash in $500,000 if he hits 80 receptions and another half a million for putting up 90 catches.

He will also receive another half a million each time he checks off these milestones:

  •  100 catches
  •  1,000 yards
  •  1,100 yards
  •  1,200 yards

While those are quite the incentives, Kirk doesn’t want to get too fixated on the dollars. He even told his agents not to let him know when he is close to unlocking them.

“I’d rather find out at the end, you know?” Kirk said, according to CNN. “The hard thing is you go into a game and it’s like, ‘Hey, you need six catches,’ it’s like, OK, I can only control what I can control. I’m not going to go begging, you know, especially if the game’s on the line and we’re trying to win it.”

Fortunately for Kirk, that winning mindset was not only reflected in the team’s victory against the Tennessee Titans on Jan. 7.

Due to the NFL player checking off the milestones of 80 catches in a season and surpassing 1,100 yards, he earned $1 million in a single game, according to Aggies Wire.

In addition, Kirk is reportedly only six catches away from his next half a million, per fantasy football writer JB Barry.
