A cannabis line from Future is on its way.

As previously shared by AfroTech, the rapper first hinted at his new business venture after his legal team reportedly filed six trademarks for the name “EVOL BY FUTURE” in connection with the medical marijuana and cannabis category.

“On 2/17/23- his legal team filed six 1(b) intent-to-use trademark applications in several classes for ‘EVOL BY FUTURE’ to be used in connection w/ smoking lounge services, vape pens, medicated oil, etc,” trademark attorney Clarissa Harvey shared on Twitter.

Now, it’s official.

Billboard reports that Future has teamed up with Carma Holdings to launch his new cannabis line, Evol, in May.

“As an artist, I strive to enlighten the world with different perspectives and experiences, whether through my lyrics, live performances, or other creative endeavors,” Future told the outlet. “With Carma HoldCo, I can apply that creativity to build a new cannabis lifestyle brand that resonates within my community and delivers a high-quality product to my fans and a much wider audience.”

Evol is set to include THC, CBD, and Delta 8/9 products and will be available in California.

According to the outlet, “Carma HoldCo’s products span 75,000 retailers across 40 states and 17 countries.” It is also a partner of Mike Tyson’s TYSON 2.0 and Ric Flair’s Ric Flair Drip.

As previously reported by AfroTech, Tyson’s cannabis imprint is expanding with its first brick-and-mortar location in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Carma HoldCo is looking to build similar success with Future for Evol.

“Future is one of this generation’s most prolific, influential artists,” Carma HoldCo Chairman Chad Bronstein said, according to the outlet. “His drive, creativity, and vision, in partnership with Carma HoldCo, will create experiences that will inspire consumers and further establish us as the new global leader in branding and licensing.”
