On Tuesday, Los Angeles based e-sports and apparel brand, 100 Thieves, announced Drake and entertainment executive Scott “Scooter” Braun as its newest co-owners–helping the company through its Series A funding round.

Both Drake and Braun will serve as “strategic advisors” for the company, while Braun will also serve as a member on the board of directors.

“Our top priority is to win World Championships, but our ambitions go far beyond competitive gaming,” CEO and Founder of 100 Thieves, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag said.

Haag, a former professional gamer and Youtube superstar, created the company in 2016 after winning the Call of Duty World Championship.

With plans of expanding the brand to lifestyle offerings, the company is set to build a world-class management team for professional gamers. 100 Thieves has raised over $25 million from investors including the chairman of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans, Dan Gilbert; Sequoia, Ludlow Ventures, Courtside ventures and more.

The company also partnered with Drake during his current Scorpion tour by providing custom gaming stations and may have apparel collaborations in the works as well.

“I personally could not be more thrilled for 100 Thieves,” said Braun in a statement. “This is just the beginning.”
