Just in time for the holidays, Because of Them We Can, a platform that highlights prominent figures in Black culture is launching a monthly subscription box for kids.
The box is for kids ages 5 to 12 years old and contains inspirational clothes, toys, and products.
“After receiving requests from educators for innovative tools and seeing young people expand their aspirations after exposing them to a broader range of history makers, it was clear that we needed to create something that would engage children on a national scale with consistent content curated just for them,” Because of Them We Can Creator Eunique Jones Gibson said in a press release.
Because of Them We Can originated as a campaign to highlight kids dressed as notable Black History Month figures and boost the self-esteem of Black children. The campaign has since expanded into a blog platform that features clothing and other merchandise.
The subscription box launches November 30 and will be $39.99 a month with free shipping. Inaugural members will have the chance to purchase the subscription for $29.99 a month while supplies last.
