“We are not spectators:” Inclusion Leaders at dentsu International On How They’re Creating More Equitable Environments For Black Employees

In today’s quickly changing job market, people are looking for companies that check all of their boxes. They want to show up and be inspired by their work, be inspired by company leadership and make an impact with the projects they work on. Many job seekers are also seriously considering how a company handles diversity in its workforce for the first time. Unfortunately, finding a company that meets those criteria in today’s job market can be challenging. In the past few years, employers have loudly proclaimed that diversity was a core part of their values and that the voices and contributions of Black talent were central to how they saw their company futures. Rajah Caruth’s love of fast cars extends back a long time. He says, “… I would watch races on TV, and play NASCAR video games. Comcast Xfinity Partners With Beauty Industry Changemakers To Create The Black Beauty Effect Docuseries

If you think every beauty guru and their mother is all about diversity these days, and every beauty brand has popped up with a million foundation shades overnight, you might be on to something. Unfortunately, it hasn’t always been this way. For decades the beauty industry has all but ignored Black women, especially those with darker skin. The tides, however, are turning. The push toward a more inclusive beauty industry comes on the heels of content creators and entrepreneurs who were forced to forge their own paths, and in turn, forced the beauty industry to sit up and take notice. These creatives have shaped the beauty industry, from makeup tutorials on YouTube to natural hair care line launches. It is this shaping that the docuseries “The Black Beauty Effect”, created in partnership with Comcast Xfinity, will explore in detail.
